Martin Theuerkauf is a biologist with interests in palaeoecology, particularly quantitative vegetation reconstruction with pollen data. Martin is a research associate in the ICLEA virtual institute of integrated climate and landscape evolution analysis, based at the Institute for Geography and Geology, University of Greifswald.
John Couwenberg is a biologist with interests in peatlands – ranging from ecology, greenhouse gas fluxes, systems ecology, land ecology, hydrology, land use, ecosystem services and biodiversity – and palaeoecology, focussing on peatland development and quantitative
vegetation reconstruction. John is a research associate at DUENE e.V. and the Institute of Botany and Landscape Ecology, University of Greifswald.
Almut Mrotzek is a biologist with interests in forest ecology and palaeoecology. She developed the MARCO POLO model for quantitative vegetation reconstruction at the forest stand level.
